Antonio
(he/him)
Antonio is a daydreamer. He is of Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage. He loves to cook, read, and research. Antonio is shy, but brave. He can worry about new experiences and new things, but is comforted by learning more information about them. Currently Antonio is on a mission to master all of his Abuela’s recipes. When he grows up, Antonio wants to be a chef.
Sol
(they/them)
Sol is a storyteller of Haitian and Dominican heritage who speaks three languages. They are outgoing, infinitely curious, and not afraid to make mistakes. Sol is an empath and often takes on the worries of others as their own, but is learning not to let anxiety keep them from learning new things. Recently Sol has started journaling daily. When they grow up they want to be a journalist.
Sonia
(she/her)
Sonia is an extroverted athlete of Colombian heritage, who is highly confident, and never hesitates to speak up or ask questions. She is very smart and neurodivergent, thriving on hands-on practice to grasp new concepts. Once she learns something new, she dedicates herself completely to it. Her latest obsession is Capoeira. When she grows up Sol wants to play in the Olympics.
Martín
(he/him)
Martín is a curious, energetic artist of Garifuna heritage. He loves arts and crafts, especially woodworking. Martin recently moved from Honduras and is still learning English. Though initially shy, he becomes talkative and silly once he breaks the ice with his infectious laugh. Martin is working on a collection of small model ships. When he grows up he wants to be a ship captain.

Dr. Veronica Benavides
Vero is a Harvard-trained educator, Fulbright Scholar, and researcher, as well as a proud Chicana and heritage Spanish speaker committed to helping children and families stay connected to their language, identity, and culture. She founded Bilingual Generation and created Bili, an award-winning bilingual learning app that helps children build confidence in their languages through stories, play, and family connection. Whether on stage or on the page, Veronica believes storytelling has the power to spark change. She is passionate about elevating narratives that celebrate friendship, language, and belonging. Andrés Acosta
Andrés is a nonbinary Latine storyteller, educator, and digital content producer with a growing following across their social media platforms. As a second-generation immigrant of Puerto Rican and Honduran descent, and third generation educator, they explore the impact of language on culture, politics, and society to educate and entertain their audience. They’ve helped brands engage underrepresented communities through outreach diversification. Partnerships with Meta, TikTok, Prime Video, and Giphy have enabled them to navigate the corporate world toward a more genuine storytelling by pursuing inclusive initiatives sans performative methods. Addy Rivera Sonda
Addy is the illustrator of Strong Mama, Bobby and the Big Valentine, and more. She knows imagining the world we want to live in is the first step in creating it. She lives in a little micro-sanctuary in southern Mexico with her partner, a rescued sheep, a chicken, and five cats.
